Decorative Plates

Palissy style decorative plates with a modern twist. At a garage sale a few years ago I came across a decorative ceramic lobster plate. Bright garish colours with a stunning real sized ceramic lobster as its centre piece — the kind of thing a tourist would but in Maine. I could not understand how this unsigned piece could possibly have been made to sell at a reasonable cost. The craftsmanship was incredible!  I eventually learnt that it was from the early 1900s, made in the Azores in the Palissy style. So I set out to make my own version (for tourists?).
